Hungarian lounge chair by Sándor Bedécs

This lounge chair was designed in the 1970s by furniture designer and interior architect Sándor Bedécs. The designer graduated from the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts in 1953 as a student of Gyula Kaesz, László Hornicsek, László Juhász, and Ferenc Schaffer. Throughout his career, he placed great emphasis on coordinating furniture design and interior design, as well as on design related to large-scale furniture manufacturing. The internationally award-winning armchair features streamlined, curved shapes and textile upholstery. The upholstery of the armchair has surface tears and wear in places, with some signs of use.
